Veggie Tales

We were invited to see Veggie Tales Live with some friends.  We were so glad they invited us.  We had a great time.  We started the night off with a fun Veggie Tales flashlight.  We dance and played with it all night during the performance.

Waiting for the show to begin!

Ethan was nervous at first since it was so loud, but after awhile he was enjoying it!

Here is our intermission snack!  We shared our fruit snacks with Faith.

Last Play Date

Ethan and I enjoyed our last Play Date with our friends this summer.  We can't wait until next summer to do it all over again!

Since it has been so hot outside lately, we set up the bounce house in the living room!

Backyard Porch

Aaron built this deck for our backyard last summer, but we are really enjoying it this summer. We play out on it all the time. This is where we eat our popsicles!! We have also been working on our "colors" with Ethan while we enjoy our popsicle. We always ask him what color he wants! Sometimes we hear the ice-cream man and splurge for "real ice-cream." :)

We went to the JBF (Just Between Friends) Sale and bought two outdoor playsets for the backyard. We put them together and Ethan has already tested them out.

Ethan drinking the "juice" from his popsicle!

Popsicles

Since this summer has been so hot we haven't been able to enjoy the outdoors until later in the evening. Our routine is to play for awhile in the backyard and then have popsicles before it gets too dark. Ethan loves to drink the melted popsicle. He even shares them with Dixie and Rylee. They enjoy them too since it's so hot! The good thing about this routine of ours is that we can still continue it once school starts back up since we've been having to wait to go outside once the sun goes down.

SoccerTots

We have enrolled Ethan in SoccerTots. He goes once a week for 50 minutes. He loves running around and kicking the ball. He also loves scoring goals! The one thing he doesn't like is stretching before class starts. :)

This is Day 2 of SoccerTots:

Ethan had to run down the "ladder" and then score a goal. They did this with the kids running forwards and then walking backwards. We didn't do so good with the walking backwards!

Ethan and I took turns trying to get each other's flags. This helps them learn how to follow someone.

Ethan loves to build "high towers" so he loved doing this activity. Once they built their tower, they ran back to their spots and then ran up to the ball and kicked down the tower.

At the end of every class the kids say a little SoccerTots chant and then get stamps. Ethan loves showing me his stamps for the rest of the day!

This was all from Day 1 of SoccerTots. Ethan loved it!

We played a little parachute game with blow up soccer balls.

Ethan needed a water break with all that hard playing!

The kids doing the SoccerTots chant at the end of class.

Ethan has really enjoyed going to SoccerTots. We'll see how long it lasts! Of course, I'm pushing soccer on him so I've played my whole life. :)

More Playdates...

Here are a few more pictures of some playdates we had this summer. We blew up some pools to play with outside, but we really didn't need them since it started raining. So...we just decided to play in the rain. Now every time it rains, Ethan wants to go and play in it!

We had to stop for a fruit snack. All that hard playing makes them hungry!

All dry and ready for some lunch!

Playdates

We have been getting together with some other friends and their kiddos for some playdates this summer. Here is one of them at Bounce Town in Wylie. We played here for awhile and then went out for lunch. It was alot of fun!

Ella, Ethan, and Faith lovin on each other....or Ethan looking like the Mac Daddy!!

We tried taking their picture at the end of the playdate and it was tough getting them all to look at the camera and smile all at the same time. This was as good as it gets!

I have a few more playdates to post soon...

Blogging Again!

Well...it's been a full circle now since I've posted anything on this blog so I guess it's a good time to start it back up! I've been getting my masters in education and just ran out of time to keep it up, but I'm going to do my best!! :)

Tons of things have been going on in the Berg household this summer. We went on a family vacation to Lake Travis and had a great time! Ethan has enjoyed playing with friends and in the water as much as he can! He has learned his ABC's and can count to 20 so far. He loves playing with a balloon and all of his sports balls. We put him in Soccer Tots and he loves it! We have also taken him to some Bounce Places and he enjoys going through each bounce house. I'll upload some pictures next!
